Dictionaries say that the cool guy is a conventional, tedious, or pretentious person who thinks he is up-to-date, aware, interesting and etc.
But we all know that it’s not all why people call someone a “cool guy”. We have selected some guys and boys who, we think, deserve being called “cool guy”!
Let’s see who are some of the cool Armenian guys all over the world and why. Take a look!
Armenian men No.1) Alexis Ohanyan

He’s also famous for his show called “Small Empires” that is about tech startups & their ecosystems and about the founders who create / the people who use these digital platforms.
Armenian men No.2) Misho
Mikayel Abrahamyan, better known by his stage name, Misho, is one of guys famous as an Armenian rapper from Yerevan, Armenia.
Misho started to be interested in rap and doing his first steps since his years of high school even when he was still a boy. In the late 2000, together with his childhood friends and cousin, Misho founded a rap group called “Selected from…” .
It was the first ever rap group in Armenia in fact.
They wrote and performed songs both in Armenian and Russian. But, it couldn’t be a huge success and only one year later, the group dissolved without any apparent reason.
In 2001, Misho met HT Hayko, with whom, two years later, Misho released the new single called “Hay tghen tghaya” (Armenian guy is a real guy) under a group named Hay Tgheq ( Armenian Boys).
This group was dissolved in 2008, but at that time, another group called Hay Team ( Armenian Team) had already been founded and he has continued his work with Hay Team up to now.
Armenian men No.3) Serj Tankian
Serj is a Lebanese-born Armenian-American singer-songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, poet, and political activist.
He is more famous as the lead vocalist and a key member of the rock band, System of a Down, which was formed in 1994 by him and his three Armenian-American friends.
During his career, Tankian has released five albums with System of a Down, one with Arto Tunçboyacıyan, as well as five solo albums.
On August 2011, Tankian was awarded “the Armenian Prime Minister’s Medal” for contributions to the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the advancement of music.
He is ranked as one of the greatest vocalists in metal history and is listed as one of the Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists by Hit Parader, ranked at #26.
Armenian men No.4) Ara
Ara is a man-orchestra, who is now more focused on his musical career and was was born in Melbourne, Australia.
When he was just 3 years old, Ara and his family moved overseas to Japan.
Attending the primary school, he began to show his passion for the piano and started to learn playing it. Soon along with his family, he again moved to Los Angeles and returned home to Melbourne where his musical career started to flourish.
An example of the success was that he won his first 2 tiles of Best Conductor’s Award, conducting a choir of 400 at the Melbourne Concert Hall.
As an aspiring talent in his teenage years, Ara started his training as a Latin American/Ballroom dancer and was taking part in competitions for several years before earning 2 National DanceSport titles.
But, at the age of 22, Ara gave up on his competitive career after being the LatinAmerican DanceSport champion for 6 years in order to become a successful recording artist.
Armenian men No.5) Tigran Hamasyan
Perhaps, you may know him as one of the Armenian guys you remember. Tigran Hamasyan is an Armenian jazz pianist, from Gyumri, Armenia.
He plays mostly his own original compositions, which are strongly influenced by Armenian folk traditions and culture, often using its scales and modalities. Besides the Armenian folk’s influence, some kind of progressive rock influence can be noticed in his album, “Red Hail”.
He had started studying jazz from the age of nine, then, tried to mix local folk melodies into jazz-form improvisations in his teenage years. At this stage, Hamasyan was influenced by Armenian composers such as Arno Babajanian and Avet Terterian.
Hamasyan, together with his family, moved to Yerevan when he was around 10, and after that to California when he was 16.
He currently resides in Yerevan, Armenia.

said Tigran when asked about his inspiration for his first ever album “World Passion” when he was 18.
Armenian men No.6) Arthur Gourounlian
Arthur is a famous creative Director and choreographer and a successful guy, who lives in London, United Kingdom.
He’s great, joyful, handsome, maximum charm and has the best enthusiasm in the dance planet…my new best friend Arthur… whose intense love for life is a such a gift
said Christian Louboutin when speaking about Arthur.
Born Armenian, this guy started his career in Belgium before moving to UK. During his career, he had the chance to dance and tour with a lot of famous artists like Beyonce, Pink, Pussycat Dolls, Duffy, Leona Lewis and others.
Arthur has kept appearing on television as well, during a lot of famous tv-shows and ceremonies like Britain’s got talent, World Music Awards, Brit Awards and the Royal Variety shows.
A small Armenian boy has gown up to be a very famous guy in UK.
Armenian men No.7) Arthur Abraham
Avetik Abrahamyan, best known as King Arthur Abraham, is a two-time former WBO super-middleweight champion as well as a former IBF middleweight champion.
Abraham is a technically perfect boxer, known for his punching power and toughness during the fight.
Abraham started his professional career at the end of 2003, being promoted by HyeFighters when he was 23 year old guy.
In July 2005, Abraham defended his WBA Inter-Continental title against the highly regarded Briton Howard Eastman, who was considered undefeatable at that time, having only one loss in his entire career.
Abraham plans to open a boxing school in Armenia after his future retirement. He also wants to have foreign language classes such as English and German for students including boys and girls at the boxing school.
If a boxer knows no foreign language, he cannot have success internationally.
Abraham noted for this occasion. He is not just a boxer but a very loyal guy to his mother country.
Armenian men No.8) Henrikh Mkhitaryan
Henrikh, called Heno by his fans in Armenia and Michi by his fans of Borussia Dortmund, is an Armenian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for German club Borussia Dortmund and is the captain of Armenia’s national team.
This boy-looking guy, who has a cute face, is the top goalscorer throughout Armenia’s football history; he has scored 19 goals in 58 international matches since his career debut in January 2007.
In addition, Mkhitaryan has been chosen as “Armenian Footballer of the Year” five times since 2009 although he couldn’t get the title in 2010.
What is also amazing about this cute Armenian guy is that he is a polyglot knowing and fluent in six languages: Armenian, Russian, English, German, French, and Portuguese.
In 2012, Yerevan City Council decided to award Mkhitaryan with the “Honorary Citizen of Yerevan” title for his great success in football and his brilliant achievements in sports in connection with the city’s 2794th anniversary as well.
Armenian men No.9) André
Andrey Hovnanian, best known as André, is an Armenian singer who was named as “the Best Male Singer” at the Armenian Music Awards for 4 years one after another since 2004.
When he was only nine year old boy, he wrote his first song, which was called Prayer. In this song, he was showing his appreciation towards God.
The professional singing career started at the age of 15 when he became the winner of the music contest, Road to Renaissance.
André has been the lead vocalist of the pop-jazz band, Karabakh, with which he has toured all over Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. In 2006, he was the first artist to represent Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest and at the end of the final, he took the 8th place with 129 points, one of the best results in Armenia’s history in Eurovision.
Armenian men No.10) Aram MP3
Aram Sargsyan best known under his stage name, Aram Mp3. This guy is an Armenian singer-songwriter, comedian and showman.
He graduated from Yerevan State Medical University with pharmacologist’s degree although he is not working in the field currently!
In 2006, Aram and several other comedians, largely unknown to the public, united to create “32 Teeth” stand-up comedy show. During the first years of his career in 32 Atam, he often performed humorous covers of popular songs. Due to these covers, he earned his nickname, “Aram Mp3”, referring the common audio format MP3.
A few years later, this club was unfortunately dissolved and in 2010, Aram and his friends created the “Vitamin Club”, another comedy show, which is widely famous in Armenia today.
He has also hosted some famous TV programs such as X-Factor Armenia, Armenian Idol, My Name Is…, Power Of 10, which has brought more fame to him.
In 2013, Aram represented Armenia in Eurovision Song Contest and was the favorite until the very end of the competition. At the final, he took the 4th place with 174 points.
