Lilit Hovhannisyan Song #1: Him
Many people know Lilit Hovhannisyan with the diva style today, but we all remember the shy and humble Lilit when she was just starting her career. Young, shy, cute and talented. These were qualities that helped her win grand prix of “Yntsa” award in Stepanakert.
Except from the award, Lilit also received a chance to shoot her first music video for free. Lilit chose one of the songs that she wrote herself, it was called “Him” (“Nran”). This became Lilit Hovhannisyan’s first music video, where there are no huge effects, dancers, show. It was just her, singing her heart out. Some of her fans still miss Lilit of those times.
Lilit Hovhannisyan Song #2: I Made up My Love
“Im Sere Yes em Horinel” (“I made up my love”) is one of the most dramatic songs of Lilit Hovhannisyan. Music video of this song is even more dramatic.

This music video reminds of a short movie, it has a perfect scenario of a dramatic film. There were many discussions about the note in the beginning of the video, which says the video was based on true events.
Later Lilit confessed that one of her fans unanimously send her letters with her life story and Lilit was so touched, that decided to dedicate a song and music video to her.

“Requiem of Love” is the sequel music video to “I made up my love”. The story of the unhappy girl and her love story continues in this song. In the previous song, the couple divorces, but this one was about the begging of the man to come back together, which eventually happens.
It is important to note, that in this song Lilit used part of Beethoven’s “Requiem”, which may be the reason why YouTube blocked the video for a very long time. Whatever the reason was, the video was uploaded again in 2015 and now is available for viewers.
Lilit Hovhannisyan Song #4: Armenian Girl
Armenian Girl was released in 2014. The music video to the song was shoot in the US. This is probably one of those songs that exist due to, or for the music video. Anyway, the music is very rhythmic and the video is professional, as usual.

Lilit Hovhannisyan Song #5: If You were a Girl
Those who claim that Lilit Hovhannisyan is the Armenian Beyoncé, usually prove their words with this song and music video. It’s not a secret that Lilit is kind of a feminist, even though she never actually pronounced herself to be one, but that’s what she shows.
“If you were a girl” is a very rhythmic song with a very colorful music video. As you can guess from the title, it’s about a girl complaining about her boyfriend’s behavior and tells him that in case of being a girl, he would never date a boy like him.
Many people think that this song was not original at all, in fact it was a copy of Beyoncé’s songs and music videos. In return Lilit said that she never tries to copy anyone and if her style happens to be similar to Beyoncé’s, that still doesn’t make her less original. At least she adds some Armenian flavor to even the most American-like songs and videos.
